UAE Announces New Fuel Prices
The UAE Fuel Price Committee has unveiled the new rates for petrol and diesel, which will be effective starting September 1, 2024.
The good news for motorists is that refueling their vehicles in September will be more cost-effective. For instance, a liter of Super 98 petrol will now cost AED 2.90, down from AED 3.05 in August.
Similarly, the cost of Special 95 petrol will drop to AED 2.78 per liter from AED 2.93 the previous month. Diesel prices will also decrease, falling from AED 2.95 per liter to AED 2.78 per liter in September.
Additionally, the retail price for E-Plus 91 petrol has been reduced to AED 2.71, compared to AED 2.86 in August. The fuel prices, approved by the UAE Ministry of Energy, are influenced by the average global oil price and the operational costs of distribution companies.
Towards the end of summer, global oil prices fell on Friday due to reports that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies are set to begin a planned increase in oil production starting in October 2024.
