Emirates Gas inks exclusive gas supply deal with UAQ Free Trade Zone

Emirates Gas LLC, a subsidiary of ENOC Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone Authority to become the exclusive provider of gas solutions for companies operating in the zone. The agreement supports Emirates Gas’s expansion plans and ENOC’s broader strategy to deliver reliable energy services across key sectors.

The MOU was signed at ENOC Group Headquarters in the presence of Sheikh Mansoor Bin Ibrahim Al Mu’alla, with Hussain Sultan Lootah, Acting Group CEO of ENOC; Nader Al Fardan, General Manager of Emirates Gas; and Johnson M. George, General Manager of UAQ Free Trade Zone, formalizing the partnership.

Under the deal, Emirates Gas will offer tailored services including centralized gas systems, tank installations, bulk and cylinder LPG supply, and technical and consultancy support, with solutions designed following technical, financial, and safety assessments. The framework is intended to streamline gas supply for UAQ FTZ businesses and could serve as a template for similar agreements with other UAE free zones and industrial areas.

Hussain Sultan Lootah said the partnership will enhance service delivery to free zone customers while supporting the UAE’s economic development. Johnson M. George noted that aligning with a trusted industry leader ensures investors in UAQ FTZ have access to world-class, safe, and reliable infrastructure.

Emirates Gas highlighted ongoing innovation aligned with regional energy and sustainability goals, citing its lighter, safer LPG composite cylinders with translucent design as an example. The company said such advancements, coupled with strategic partnerships, strengthen its position as a leading energy solutions provider in the UAE.
