Dubai will host the first Forum of the Future
The first-ever Dubai Future Forum will take place at the Museum of the Future on October 10 and 11, 2022. In the future it is planned to make such events regular.
400 global futurists, opinion leaders and experts from more than 15 international organizations will take part in the discussion about the future of humanity. Topics will include NFT, the development of the meta-Universe, ways to improve the quality of life, and more.
In addition, experts will discuss global issues such as the future of the world and the values of humanity, existential risks and the anticipation of future changes, etc. The event will help experts and specialized organizations to develop strategies for a better life in tomorrow.
The Museum of the Future was recognized as one of the 14 most beautiful museums on the planet by National Geographic magazine. The seven-storey building covers an area of 30,000 square meters and reaches a height of 77 meters. The 17,000 square meter facade is decorated with Arabic calligraphy by the Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej. The museum is connected by bridges to the Jumeirah Emirates Towers long complex and the Emirates Towers metro station.
On the facade you can read quotes from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. “We may not live for hundreds of years, but our creative legacy will remain for centuries after we are gone,” reads one of them.
“The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it and build it. The future doesn’t wait, it can be realized today,” is another statement by the ruler of Dubai captured in metal. The façade consists of 1024 panels, and it took one and a half years to assemble, with each panel being assembled separately. The building was designed by engineer Sean Kayla.
The museum exhibit explores the threats and opportunities of our time and the technologies of the future. Inside are capsule elevators, sensory walls and walking robotic assistants. Created by the Dubai Future Foundation, the museum is dedicated to developing new solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation.
